Every overpayment you have made in the past is still working for you. By doing as much as you could manage in the past you have built a solid foundation. Your mortgage is in better shape then if you had done nothing. If paying the standard monthly payment is the right thing for you now then do it with your head held high. Good financial management is about taking the approach appropriate for your current circumstances.
