Mine was a quarter of lemon sherbets or pineapple cubes. That's when I was feeling flush. On ordinary Saturdays a packet of chewits please!! I used to go to Maynard s, then go to the library, collect three or four books and hole up in my bedroom for the afternoon wading through the sweets and books quite happily. Absolute bliss!!With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

That sounds lovely Hopefuljoy.
Beanie, have you tried Metatone tonic? My DM swears by it. It helps you regain your energy after illness or stress. You take it before meals and I believe it is on offer in Mr As.

I had Metatone when I was getting over a nasty bout of flu a few years ago.
I don't know if it was the tonic, or whether I was just naturally getting better, but it did seem to perk me upEarly retired - 18th December 2014
