Which car did you go for? We're just about to start looking for a new one....I hate car shopping with a passion, so limited on what we can have that will fit the hoist and all the garages are so far apart here.

As for scooters...yay! Look on local FB groups or the bay of E for second hand ones, you can often find a bargain. My Mum had a go on DH's the other day whilst we were out as her mobility has really gone down since her brain haemorrhage - she really liked it once we'd persuaded her onto it and let Dad buy her one the next day....she's now whizzing around all over the place!

When the 2nd Mersey Tunnel opened, everyone who wanted to could walk through that day - me, my brother and sister all walked through together (not parents :):):) ). What a shame that couldn't happen for your bridge.

And good luck on the mobility scooter.

So today is happy new car day.

    I like it so far.
Have to get used to it slowly I think.
Only down side as yet it that boot lid is very heavy.

I find with mine, the things that irritate are:
    1. The brake being on the "wrong" side
    2. The glove box does not lock

I didn't notice the lid being heavy, though I would prefer a "real" grab handle on the inside to pull it shut. A plastic trough doesn't do it for me...

I still only find mine OK - I probably should have bought the Evo X that I was looking at... :rotfl:

In 10 years time I may just be able to afford a Giulia Quadrifoglio that's looking appealing right now... :rotfl:
