That sounds like good idea. Do you still use your scooter?

A folding walker for the car sounds like a good plan x

Owch to the insurance.  Probably worth shopping around, if you're not stuck with insurer to cover an ongoing condition.  Dog1's renewal went up by about 50% and they have promptly had a call to cancel, because adding her to Dog2's insurer got me a multi-pet discount and covers both of them for only £6 more than the renewal!  Even the customer service rep couldn't find anything to say except call us if you do change your mind :D

For pet blankets, B&M or Primark - I get the velour style ones and they are pretty indestructible.  (Except to Dog2 as a puppy, but not much survives her determined attention.)

I had been thinking of suggesting a walker for you Beanie, a fold up one would be good, tho' for safety you might need to lean against the side of your bungalow or the car whilst folding or unfolding so as not to overbalance while doing it, I've found with folding steps, stools and the like they can be hard to move and then go with a big jerk unexpectedly. x

I think ignore the cost Beanie and get what you really need - be that a fold up walker or something 'better'.
