Blood tests should show if B12 levels are low - it's not an uncommon deficiency but definitely not one to take unless you know you ARE low as too much can have some nasty side effects! SA you're far from the first person to be sent into effective "overdose" levels on vitamins from OTC supplements - they are so often marketed as "harmless" particularly by the wellness woo crowd and this sometimes means folk end up taking too much by taking multiple supplements that all contain the same thing without realising it! Iron is a cracking one for that as the symptoms of too much iron are pretty much identical to the symptoms of not enough!
Like everything - for someone like L with diagnosed B12 deficiency or me with my (again diagnosed) chronic anaemia supplementation can just make a world of difference though. I still can't get over the immediate difference that the blood transfusions I had to have in 2017 made to the way I felt - and that was without me even realising how bad things had got!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I hope the injections work for you Beanie. It's so true EH many folk take over the counter vitamins and have too much in their systems which create more problems. My brother had mega problems after taking calcium the doc prescribed but he'd been on them years and no blood tests to check his levels until he became quite poorly and it was detected then. He was fine once it was adjusted.
