    I think you can say this - I would if that's what I needed.

    I think people often want to give us treats we wouldn't otherwise get for our birthday though. If you got someone to buy you clothes or something you would have bought anyway - you could then put that £ towards the energy bill. I appreciate you have a very tight budget though.
