@beanielou - well done on the mortgage.

You're very right about missing friends and family. I tried to explain to DD why I was sad that I hadn't hugged my mum in a year, she couldn't understand how a grown up would miss the connections she couldn't go a day without! We'll see brighter days yet

Shall we all look down the back of our sofas to see if we can come up with 72p? Seriously well done for seeing off the mortagage with your baby steps. There's nothing worse than needing to rob Peter to pay Paul so things may still be tight you've worked hard to get rid of the mortgage and it must be a relief to have it off your shoulders.

We're nearly a year into our different "Normal" I don't imagine any of us imagined we would still be living so differently and missing people, friends and family. I Have a lump in my throat each time I leave youngest although I'm in the bubble I visit once or twice a month and following the rules. She gave me a big hug back in the Summer and I had to tell her we couldn't do hugs and kisses at the moment but one day we would be able to. it's so different but I spent decades keeping her in the world and want her and us to have

the normal we're used to however long it takes.

I'm someone who's always had long to do lists. I've had to learn not to try to do everything in one go. Pick the most urgent and work through from there as and when you're able. We have a limited amount of "Spoons" so use them wisely and remember to pace and to choose your battles carefully.

I hope you'll soon have a car fit for purpose and less stress.
