A fairly quiet night. She has been on my bed for most of it I think. When I went to bed 🛌 she came running through and jumped up. Took her a while to settle & I think I fell asleep. Every time I woke up she was in my room somewhere. She seems content enough. She purrs a lot & does a lot of grooming.I am glad that she is very different to the boys. I miss them so so much. Paradoxically I miss them even more.I am glad I got her & I don’t think that it is early. Everyone has to do what is right for them.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Aw Miss Summer is very pretty....those eyes6

Beanie, Summer is very pretty and a lovely colour. Glad that she's settling in well and seems happy. 😊
Everyone processes these things differently, I think getting another cat was what you needed after losing the boys so close together. It doesn't mean that you loved them any less or don't miss them. 💓Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Aww shes lovely, glad you have each other and of course shes not a replacement for the boys who will always have a place in your heart but there is always a wee furry friend needing a home and she has a lovely one now x4

Most people I know who’ve lost a pet get another soon after. It’s the empty space they leave and a new pet helps fill that space and gives you something to focus on. But we never forget our fur babies who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 💕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

She's beautiful Beanie and looks so content and at home. You're right, everybody is different and we have to do what's best for us. Your need for another cat has given her a loving home for many years to come and it certainly doesn't detract from how much you loved your boys one bit. We still have a dog and there still feels a huge gap in the house so I can fully understand people needing to bring another furry friend into their lives. Hope you and Summer have a lovely day bonding. xx4
