Business/selling from home

Hello.
I'm a part time student and stay at home mother of soon 2 children. For a long time I've been looking into going into some sort of business that I could run from the home (or at least start it off from home). My aim is really to just earn some extra income to help with my cost. I'm not looking to earn thousands and millions.
Could anyone share ideas what I could possibly sell? Where I could buy my stock from? I would be ready to invest like £200-300 on my stock to start with. I would really appreciate any ideas and would like to read if anyone had experience with buying from any wholesales, bankrupt stocks, returns, last season stock etc etc.
Thank you in forward.

Unfortunately anyone who has a good stockist will be using it themselves and unlikely to want to share their business ideas with you.
One tip though is to look in unusual places. If you google then thousands of other people will already have googled and found your supplier- so consider using other search methods that may be unique to you. It often pays to start with a hobby or interest you have, do some research on what sells and where you normally buy your items- and perhaps trace back a supplier that way.
I buy a lot of second hand vintage and retro/antique items at auctions, but that probably wouldn't suit you as it does involve long days travelling to auctions, waiting around, loading the car - rather than having nice clean stock arrive in a box.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I agree with soolin.
Picking something around a hobby / interest will make it easier to continue with when sales are low and customers are few and far between.0 -
How about a MLM opportunity? There are many different companies that offer these opportunities and you should always choose one in which you believe and love their products. I've been with one for 15 months now and initially started as a customer. I must say I haven't looked back since starting with them0

The trouble with starting a business from a hobby is, it's often a craftwork thing and the hours you need to make anything customers aren't willing to pay.
OP if you read through the Boost your Income thread you'll find ideas that others have talked about. But as Soolin says anyone that has found a niche wont want to many competitors and may keep it to themselves.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
