Buying vitamins & minerals online

Having been away from UK for some 5+ years, I have forgotten where to buy vitamins at best prices online.

Spent some time in the U.S. and there were always bargains there in shopping malls so stocked up supplies but now running out.

Mainly looking for C0-Q10 200mg, Vitamin E 400 iu or above, Triple Omega 3-6-9 1200 or above, Ginko Biloba, Vit C Chewable, Flax Seed Oil and a good multivit/mineral (the large ones like H & B Super Ones)

Holland & Barrett are ok for some deals but their CO-Q10 are normally expensive.

If some of you forumites can recommend some website names where I can order from I would be grateful

One of the cheapest places that I know and I order a fair bit

Check Amazon, sometimes they are fairly inexpensive especially with free delivery >£10 orders. If you use the price watch using that camel place or I use Keepa firefox extension and they email when the price drops below my set price. Some companies do short spells where they sell some items for very low prices while there is competition. HM do that, selling cheaper on Amazon than on their website for some items but only for short times.

These are pretty good for some stuff, the FOS is the cheapest place that I know by a big margin AND delivered free.

These are okay for some stuff, especially their price reductions.

An American company who deliver free to the UK. Big discounts are possible for multiple purchases. I have not ordered from them yet but I am considering something because the sell for quite a bit less than in the UK. Just remember that the order value needs to be <=£15 otherwise vat has to be paid and the royalmail will charge £10 to collect it (£8+vat). Duty free below £135.

There is a way to have customs and excise bill the recipient directly providing instructions to do so is on the customs form. They send a request for the money, which will delay it, until you have paid the vat and then they release it for delivery by the royal mail without their big fees. I might try this myself at some point because I resent paying RM because they are ripoff merchants, having been done by them in the past, even for regular UK mail.

I order from a few sites and collect TopCashBack (TCB) on the stuff I order and then convert that to a voucher which can be used on a number of places. I get Amazon vouchers which gets a little more than other vouchers but they also do high street vouchers etc.

Holland & Barrett do their half price and penny sales which can lower their prices, especially with their rewards. Use TCB and get about 10% return which can go back into something else at another store. I don't buy much from H&B now, I get it all from other places, including sainsbury 3 for 2 on Seven Seas which works out at a good price.

I have made a mistake with the link for the American company which wasn't correct, I mixed up the links because I did not have the company bookmarked which I have corrected now. The company delivers free and offers discounts for multiple items which reduce the price significantly. There is a 20% discount and they were offering another 10% on the first order when registering for which they send a code by email. The key to it is to keep the total below £15 so no VAT is payable and no £10 to the right royalrip off on delivery.

I would definitely recommend eBay, I'm always buying vitamins including omega 3 gingko etc. and have found them to be overall the cheapest(not branded items) , they tend to sell the bargain variety in zip lock bags so you will need a jar to put them in, just type in the drug and loads will come up. Have a good route around though as it may appear some products are cheaper than others only to find the potency(mg are less). For branded supplements I go too amazon.

Thanks for the updated link, they look to be almost exactly the same labels on bottles as Vitamin World (US Sister company of Holland & Barrett) so should be decent prices when their sales are on.
Vitamin World were way cheaper than H & B when I shopped over there.

I have however put in a large order for Co-Q10 and my other regular supplements on the first recommendation you gave (HM), lovely cheap prices for C0-Q10 which cost me about a quid each at H & B and these are a bigger quantity so you saved me a good few quids there A.Penny.Saved, many thanks for that

fallon8, thanks for your help too and I will bear that in mind next time I buy though I was a little wary of eBay for supplements, Amazon is maybe a better bet but I like to stick with branded for this sort of item

They usually take about 3 days for delivery after despatch from HM because they come from the channel islands. Nothing extra to pay because they send in quantities below the £15 vat limit which can mean lots of small plastic envelopes get delivered. Anything over that then they pay the vat in advance.

There is cashback available from TopCashBack, or supposed to be, but recently none have tracked for me. Between you and Me, I think they are doing something to prevent it now. I have tried multiple browsers with no successful tracks. I put in one cashback claim which took months, was a right hassle and they did pay but I don't fancy having to do that every time. I have missed out on a lot of cashback on hundreds spent so not too pleased. I suppose that with the low prices they charge, paying out cashback must be an unwanted expense. However if they don't want to pay then they should not have the TCB listing.

eBay can be okay for some things but IMO ebay and paypal charges have to be paid somewhere so the prices are not the best. It's similar with Amazon but not so severe because no paypal expenses. There can be some good prices available at times and the price tracking can be very useful to catch the prices low.
