lovely to see the donuts and thorntons cake still working...they have suddenly become "essentials" in our house this week...and still looking good for a shop tomorrow.
Getting a little confused with whats V's T or M at the moment so I think I will stick to the tried and tested A vT shop to use up the slightly over a tenner APG I have
They're not "still working". They ended £2.25x2 some weeks ago, so they are uselessly expensive now - and I'm not giving any money to Mr A on them having successfully taken some away.
:rotfl:I think this is a little like leaving the 2p amusement arcade thing that slides in and out and just when you think it looks like some 2ps will fall... they don't! Put a couple of 2ps in, win several more (in theory) and then...walk away!:D http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn14946-never-gamble-with-an-autistic-opponent.html#.VGN14GOUWs5
Except, with the APG and the donuts at the moment, you are guaranteed to lose!:rotfl::rotfl: In the sense of ending up paying for the donuts(:rotfl:). I know - I was buying into that 'good' vs T comp at 57p earlier in the year. (Given the mbuy, I think buying just one pack - £2.25 vs 57p - is now better.) Then that one-day glitch came and I've never wanted to buy them again ever since.
I did that once - the last time but one that I happened to be an amusement arcade - after about four goes, I won more 2ps (or actually 10ps) that I put in. I decided - right, that's it - walk out! And I did. (One of my family thought I was odd:rotfl::rotfl: - "what are you doing, giving up?" they asked!) I suspect the 'average' person would have continued and continued, until they'd put it all back in:(. At last, I came out better off from that one than when I went in - it does not happen very often that someone walks out with more than they 'paid'. Last time I was in another amusement place (only a week ago as it happens), I knew really that none of the trays in any of the machines on option seemed ready to dispense any money. I put a tuppence in one of them though. Didn't win, thought not, and immediately quit! That said, I remember one day in the early 90s, we (me and family) were in an amusement arcade and we did, indeed, just keep playing and, at the end, lost everything. I remember mum was furious that we'd lost £40!:eek::rotfl:
I love Baileys when it works out at £10-80 a litre!:D:D
Baileys at T at £12:eek:?:rotfl: I like them when they are £10 instore, £18 online and £10 at a competitor. Brussel Sprouts are vs M at 69p.:eek:The price on those donuts!_pale_ - increased from minus 48p to paying about £1.02:eek: for two! Price increase of £1.50:eek::eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl: We'll need to get Peter Snow or Jeremy Vine to calculate the swing between the minus price and the current APG price:rotfl:.0 -

Flying visit, got to leave house in 5 mins and not a chance to catch up......
Anyway, spotted the 160 bag PG tips with monkey box in a small T's superstore today for £2.50. Thought this was a decent price. Not sure if this was store specific? Seems they are still £4 on line.
Perhaps if anyone else see's them at this cheaper price in T's they can post too. :beer:0 -

Evening! Would anyone say that £1.80 for the large 900ml tresemme bottles of shampoo/conditioner is good?
Just worked out that If I buy them in M's at £4.99, I would get 500 more points and 2690 match points as they are £2.30 in Sada so would get 3190 points back (£3.19). Don't know whether to get a couple of bottles or not! Someone sway me either way please!! :rotfl: I can't make the decision myself! x
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!
