Ive had one of those days when I want comfort food....so far its been carver ham and coleslaw sandwiches and CBY donut ....I'm now looking at a tin of hot chocolate and the stash of 10p sweets....I wouldnt feel like this if it wasnt so windy and wet I'm sure.
I know the feeling:o definatly a day for comfort food, I am making steak and ale pie for the meat eaters and pasta shells stuffed with mushrooms and peppers in a creamy sauce with mozzarella for veggies and upside down pear and chocolate cake for pudding, tea for 12 tonight

Marks and Spencies Dine In for £10 has started today
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/10-dine-for-two-deal-m-s-2049895
I noticed that one of the mains is
Butter Basted Turkey Joint
I am wondering what it looks like - it would be quite neat if they were freezable - there are only going to be 4 of us anyway so I could get 2.
Has marks still got its 25% off wine off on???“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Just noticed OHs passport is due for renewal in October 2015. I know you can apply to renew up to 6 months in advance and the extra months are added on - assume this is the case.
So that's early April he can apply for a renewal.
This has made me wonder though. We have been looking at holidays- late April or early May time - no where exotic just maybe Norway which is technically outside the EU.
we would also book last minute maybe 6 to 8 weeks ahead if that.
so if we travelled late April or May then his passport would have less than 6 months to run - we wondered if this had been a problem for anyone - or does this just apply to long haul places?
We advise you should have 6 months just in case you are hospitalisedOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

I just wanted to say be careful anyone buying jerky style treats. Check if they say "made in china" as there have been lots of cases of dogs dying or being very ill due to non nood grade glycerine and/or antibiotic residues found in the treats.
This can cause liver/ kidney problems or gastrointestinal problems.
I expect most dogs eat these types of things are are ok, but if your dog gets lethargic or is sick then it's worth mentioning to the vet what they have eaten.
I can't give these type of chews to my dogs as they just choke on them!
Thanks MM, I didn't buy the jerky ones (bought some a while ago and they stunk the house out lol) just got the rawhide ones, I usually buy from Home Bargains £1 for 8 strips, Sam gets through quite a lot, can't really buy toys he just rips them up within about half an hour!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

TASTE OF CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
12-16 NOVEMBER
Come and taste the very best of M&S Christmas food and drink this week and for every £20
you spend in store, you will be rewarded with a £5 voucher to spend in December.
TASTE OF CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
12-16 NOVEMBER
These vouchers can then be redeemed (up to £25 worth) when you spend £40 or more on
clothing, footwear and homeware between 2 and 14 December 2014.
and it does say 25% wine - so if you buy 6 meals deals with say a £7 wine would another £10.50 come off
£60 - £10.50 = £49.50??????
No freezer space sadly - might squeeze in 2 turkey joints and that's it - otherwise it might be worth an experiment on the SS tills“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
