Your apg is based on the original receipt. Refunds do not affect this.
As an aside I've never had any problem using an apg after returning something. I've never been asked about the refund, but if I were I'd say that I'd bought the wrong flavour etc and exchanged it for another.

Hold fire on that "Savvy Buy":( Tia Maria 1L at £15 in A. I think Tia Maria 700ml may work out better, after the 10% Msl, if compares vs M in a few days time and then 10% off that.

Tia Maria 1L at £13.50 (including 10% Msl) should be £9.45 if it were 700ml.
However, 700ml vs £11 (M price) if picked up would be £9.90 with 10% APG and then £1.30 (10% Msl on A's price paid) = £8.60.

Or, maybe it does not work quite like that (as Msl is 10% of price paid regardless of actual volume). If 700ml bottles at £8.60 (with Msl & 10% APG) were 1L they should be just under £12.29. In fact they are £15 (straight A price) less £1.50 Msl = £13.50.

But...if the Tia Maria 1Ls were bought in most expensive place Sains - and remember you now need 10 different items and can't just get at straight £20 without anything else anymore - then 10% Msl would rise to £2. However, at £15 - £2 would still be £13.00 (not the £12.29 adjusted equivalent price for the 700ml as if it were 1L), plus the cost of at least 9 other items in Sains.

Assuming that the Msl on the 700ml delivers and assuming that (in a few days' time) the M price gets picked up on the APG (and that A doesn't thwart the matter of the 10% Msl on the 700ml by putting its price down by then).

In short, 700ml better price by volume - if all goes well! When bought in Avs M (and not available to Northern Ireland:(, who have to settle for the little more expensive 1L - or save all the money completely by not buying any of them at all. Total cost £0.00. But no Tia Maria:rotfl:).
