Dress-wise I wouldn't wear a suit, but a smart pair of trousers and a blouse would be fine.
In a group interview they're looking to see how you interact with people, so she wants to be noticed but not to be overbearing and definitely not shy in to the background.
There's some good hints and tips here.Hi marrbett
In the group interviews I run for apprentices there are a few different things we do:
Interactive presentation about company - look at how candidates get on with each other/do they ask questions/where do they sit in the room (are they hiding at the back!)/how do they build rapport/ are they friendly/ what sort of language do they use when interacting together
Tour of facility - again looking at the candidates showing interest in product and company
Group activity - split them into group and maybe get them to put on a fashion show using selection of items (bin liners, safety pins, etc)
Finish with question & answer session with the managers they will be working with.
With regards to presentation - it is about being appropriate rather than being suited up. Smart skirt/trousers blouse or nice top, clean shoes or boots, brushed hair.
Skirt not too short either! Watching one poor girl trying to do a group activity with a skirt that my mum would describe as being more of a belt was interesting. Masses of make up is a bit off putting as well - again its about being appropriate for the job she is going for.
We usually have lots of staff on hand some of who interact with candidates and some of who are just observing and taking notes. This means we can watch them when they think we aren't and we sometimes see a change in language (it can become quite colourful!)
We all meet afterwards and compare notes to see who gets to come for one to one interview.
Best of luck to your DD
edited to add - make sure her mobile is turned off, we always start the sessions by reminding people to do this and a surprising number of them scramble to switch them off. On one occasion a mobile rang whilst we were issuing the instruction and the poor lad was mortified.
Thanks so much for this. I'll let you know how she gets on.0 -

A very interesting thread about buying 3v cards in Morrisons.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/66872600#Comment_66872600
Especially note, post 10 !:)
Also I have discovered today, that 3v cards can be used to pay Myhermes, which may be of use to Ebayers.N1LDA:D0 -
Just might have to try this when I pop up in a bit :T
Is an £12.78 APG too much for a £9.99 + fillers spend :money:
edit to add: No Savvy, this had not been reported.
Price change for morries usually takes a couple of days to filter through. Also the impulse trigger now shows on a.com as being in the multibuy...not sure about msm I'm on my phone so can't search very well:)0 -
I think that's it now for the 'expiring' items (in the sense of I've finished identifying what they are on the M list - not that it is literally "it" for them yet as they will still appear at the expired prices on the APG assuming they have that information in the system already). As for new ones, you'll have to wait!:p:D:rotfl: I'm doing it at my leisure! I do have a 'story' here though - probably two other stores, on other things elsewhere, later - I saw the Ye Olde Oak Hot Dog Sausages were off - now no longer 50p. Made me think "I bet the Ye Olde Oak Ham is back on again". And :rotfl::rotfl: - sure enough, it was!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Just a little farther along the aisle, and there they were - back at £1. The supermarket's so predictable isn't it?!?:rotfl:
I think if you want the Carlsberg 20 pack (20x440ml cans), you had best go today to A! I'm not trying to encourage excessive consumption here - and drink responsibly etc. - but it is now "Only" (that's their word:p) £12:eek::eek: in M. Way expensive - it was £10. I have this confirmed as comparing vs £10 on shopping done on Friday afternoon so, unless the Wednesday collection still had not been updated into the system by then, which seems unlikely, it does compare to vs £10 on the APG. This should be available to Scotland as well, as it's not an mbuy promotion but depends if M were £10 in Scotland last week, but not available, as usual, to Northern Ireland as M do not have stores there.
So - whilst not encouraging you to drink excessively or in one go - now is the time to stock up, vs M's £10 price. This will end imminently (unless the APG glitches over the new price, which is unlikely). Again, I would not be risking tomorrow morning - I'd get them today!
(I might wait on the JF Elixirs though:rotfl:.)
The Somersby Cider is still on £10 in M (not available for comparison from A as not stocked there) - but that's £1 more expensive due to there being no 10% off.
The expiring items are now crossed on the M list. In the main: there's a few items that don't work or have disappeared from msm that have notes against them so don't buy those!! The Domestos 2L Original Blue is also to be off. Now up in price at T too. So, if you need that, it's likely to compare Avs M at £1.47 for today. I'm hoping there can be a trigger to the cleaning offer though - as the Harpic Power Plus 750ml would be good vs M if only, as they are 93p there.0
