Good afternoon all...
Very busy morning and I have possibly messed up on my APG this morning...but guess I shall just take the hit
I thought I was doing a V m shop I think on reflection its more of a T shop but may well meet in the middle and produce nothing!!!!
Date night for me and OH tonight...as DS1 is entertaining Megan...not got a clue what DS2 plans to do I think hes waiting to see who will offer him the most money or better option for a night out.
I had a quick read back and most now seems to have been deleted, however I may have muggled things together to guess at the content...I respect views on finance and lifestyle are different, but I certainly dont choose my friends based on anything other than the compassion they extend...and whilst I am the first person to admit that I dont know FC from adam,...the internet compassion she has showed and advice or coments she's made along the way to my posts, have I hope allowed me to call her a "virtual friend/buddy ".and like a great many others here she brightens my day
I dont care for false people or trolls and I hope the thread continues to support eachother in our quest that unites us.
Happy glitching all.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I thought the SA would just give me my receipt which I type the details of in online. Are you saying they give you the vouchers there and then? I was also wondering about the x4 for £4 promo on the Irn Bru at A will that affect the APG?
I'm also going to be getting a few bits mainly other CoS items.
So it's best to break down the Irn Bru 10 on one shop 10 on another with 7 or so other different items on each shop to get 2 APG's?
Change of plan.
My advice was based on your working. (That you'd get 78p per bottle but Henrik777 has corrected you and you'll only be getting a £6.50ish apg when you buy the 20 bottles.
This is a totally reasonable value of apg and spending it should be easy. Go ahead with your shop as planned!:)
The way the apg works is that as you say, you input the details on the receipt into the apg website and then print out the apg at home. Problems can occur when you go to spend them.
A higher than "normal" value might cause the SA to cry fraud, (been there) and call a supervisor or manager. They will then scrutinise the receipt and question as you why you got so much back and generally make your day suck. This is especially true for apgs >£10, as they do not scan and the value must be put in by hand. This again can result in trouting and day suckage:D.
Most people can use large apgs with no problems, sometimes a £3 will result in a trouting, it all depends on the SA, the weather, the phase of the moon who knows? I was just suggesting caution as it's your first foray into the game.
It's only a game

Does anyone have any recommendations as what they usually buy to top up an order like this.
Value Scouring pads
Value batter mix
Value sponge mix
Value golden savoury rice
Tiny piece of broccoli (for hamster lol)
Milk
Stuff that will get used and not rot my teeth 😊👍0 -

If you really wanted could you not buy 3 Irn bru per shop with 7 other cheap items costing £7 per shop on a shop that would cost £4 in Tes. Therefore giving you £3 APG. Do this 6 times giving you 18 bottles of Irn Bru / Irn Bru Sugar Free along with other small items.
£3 APG receipt x 6 = £18 APG
£0.50 CoS x 18 = £9
Total of £27 back on a £42 shop.
Or am I thinking too much into this... :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

But I do :heart2: Yes I am upset. I have obviously upset someone, which isn't all that unusual. But if whoever I have upset had just told me, Id have apologised. I do speak my mind but Id never knowingly upset anyone. And Id never get that personal
And maybe I do go on a bit about my problems, if it bores anyone then skip past. I have nowhere else to let my steam off. And in the words of Quidcofor the avoidance of doubt, yes I did have a pretty perfect life. Money, kids in good schools, no real worries. Then someone decided to make both my parents die, diagnose my son with ASD and get my husband shot in the space of a couple of years......so it kind of changed things. Mostly for the worst but in some ways for the better. I never really appreciated what I had before.
And anyone who is jealous of my life........you are welcome to come and live it for a day. I guarantee you'll run off screaming before you've had your dinner! That's all folks
