    Well, yes that is her name - she sort of came with it - we play stupid games of making car names out of the letters on the plate and BND was on hers. :confused:
    My other half was so p:eek: d off at the impulse purchase that he named her Brenda. It is so unsuitable it kind of stuck and now everyone knows her as this - friends and family etc. The other one is called Milly Winterton so Brenda is quite tame really!!!:rotfl:

  • Impulse buys on items i wont use for a couple of months ..... recently (yesterday) i purchased GIG tickets for

    * Within Temptation
    * Taste Of Chaos
    * Alexisonfire

    None of the above GIGs are until November, so with a little creative accountancy, i didnt spend £100 on them, i spent £25/month !! ;)

    (trying to make myself and GF feel less guilty - sounds better using second option)

    shoes and bags usually. my most expensive impulse buy was a beauclaire camping cooking grill thingy cost me 90quid but was reduced from 140 on the last day of a camping show so i justified it by that - however we have used it loads and last week i cooked breakfast for 20+ people so maybe not such a bad buy after all

    Hello IA, I love reading your diaries but don't often post as you are doing such a great job anyway. I have noticed that you often impulse buy bits and pieces for your children and I wonder whether you need to develop a plan and a budget for their toys and treats - which they richly deserve of course.:) Or maybe this should be one of the working expenses for when you become a childminder and need to have suitable toys around for the little customers.
    Remember Freecycle for getting the simple stuff - and EBay for selling the expensive nonsense after it's been played with three times in as many months....lol.

    Always end up buying stuff for DS as well as a weakness for shoes and handbags, makeup....................the list could be endless.
  • Mine would have to be clothes actually i don't think they are justifiable but i have managed to cut the amount i spend.

    100% justifiable would have to be going out once a week for drinks instead of my old 3,4 or 5 times a week :(
