I know it's old fashioned now we all have iPads, smartphones etc but I still have a notebook which I write Xmas lists and things xmas related in, this year I picked one up in Tiger shop for £1 with a gingerbread man on it. I take it with me when out shopping and write down ideas for gifts etc when I think of them, or prices to check online later at home. I find it easier to keep tabs and what I have done and what I will need to do

When my DD was 7 and doubting we got her older brothers and Dad to deposit some pony poo on the roof and the day started with Dad shouting abuse at the sky because the reindeer had pooed on our roof and how were we going to get it off! needless to say it was the best Christmas ever and kept the main man going for a lot longer. Her friends called to admire the evidence.

I love all these ideas. The first thing i am going to do is get a christmas looking notebook. Then make my list of activities we need/want to do.
