ING to Woolwich. Online banking doesn't work.

Wow - I haven't posted for ages!
Anyhow, my ING mortgage has moved to Barclays and now Woolwich due to ING's selling of that part of the business.
My issue is that I can't access my mortgage account online.
I got the new login information from Barclays, which means that I can login to my online account, but from there I'm stuck. If I click on the mortgage account link I get a popup window saying I may need to open a savings or current account with Barclays to access "additional services".
I get the same popup when I try absolutely every other link on the page!
I contacted Barclays by email and got the stock answer that I had to call them. I called and waited for around 7 minutes, listening to a ringing tone, before giving up.
My question to fellow MSE'ers is simply: anyone else got this problem?
