A mini milestone...

Just a tiny success that i thought I'd share..my 0% credit card ends next month and I still have an outstanding balance of £2500 on it. (I knew it wouldn't totally clear within the 0% term when I took the card out, but I'vepaid off a *lot* so far)
Tonight, I called up an existing card provider that I have and asked if they had a 0% they could offer me and they did. So, my £2500 has been transferred to my other card for 0% for another 15 months, and I'll have cleared it in about 9 months I hope.
This is the 1st time I will have ever done a balance transfer knowing the balance will be clear before the 0% offer runs out.:T
Also, next year I'll be needing to sort my Mortgage out with a new fixed rate, so because I used an existing card there's not a credit check mark on my file. :)

It's only a little milestone, but it's made me very happy indeed. :)
PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!

  • Well done, it's these little victories along our debt free journeys which keeps us going. Nine months will fly by and you'll be posting about clearing this debt, something to look forward to.
