1st credit .. statute barred?

Hello this is my first post so im sorry in advance if this is in the incorrect section...
Anyway I had a debt with Llyods Bank 3 accounts actually a while ago and i got passed to 1st credit from time to time, unfortunetly my life became a hell and i physically gave up with everything and ignored everything.
However recently moved but still finding it hard to manage debt but no current new debts, I keep on getting letters from 1st credit for the three old Llyods Accounts.
I have ignored all their letters so far but im getting them virtually every day now. I have received two letters today in relation to the two accounts not the third.
It basically seems a statement and asks me to contact them, however on the back i have seen something very interesting
Date of Assignment on 1 Account is 04/10/2006 and the other is 04/01/2007
This is clearly six years old and does not show on my credit report either however there continuing to hound me through letters and sometimes phone calls,
Im scared if i make contact in the form of a letter or phone call they will say i am acknowleding this debt and it starts all over again, when clearly it should be statue barred correct?
can anyone help me on this it would be great, thank you.

The debt still exists even if it is statute barred and they can ask you to repay but not pursue you through the courts. They are just trying to get you to pay something, remember they buy bundles of old debts for pennies and if they can get one person out of a bundle to pay then they make a profit.
If you are sure it has been 6 years since you last made a payment or acknowledged the debt in writing then if you send the statute barred letter and they should give up.
Once you have pointed out you are aware it is SB and are not going to pay it they are supposed to cease harassing you.
There will be a link on here somewhere, for the appropriate letter.
A debt cannot become 'unbarred' once its SB then thats it.ISA £1675

Dear Sirs,
Statute barred debt
I don’t admit liability for this debt. The last payment to this debt was made over 6 years ago and since then I have not acknowledged this debt or made any further payment to it.
As this debt is statute barred, you cannot take court action unless you can provide evidence of payment or written contact from me within this period. This is stated in s5 Limitation Act 1980, and any court claim will be defended on this basis.
If you have evidence that this debt isn’t statute barred then please send it to me within 21 days.
The Financial Conduct Authority state in CONC 7.15 that a firm must not attempt to recover a statute barred debt where they haven’t been in contact with the customer during the relevant period. And that a firm must stop demanding payments to a statute barred debt where the customer has stated they won’t be paying it.
Please confirm in writing that you won’t pursue me further for this debt.
Yours faithfully

Hey thanks for the reply,
I have sent a statue barred letter to them,
I know they will continue to harras me however they do this all the time, the letters always seem to be the same, it goes from 1st credit to someone else which turns out to be them anyway and then back again, no mention of court or visits to door, i assume this is because they know its well over 6 years and no payments made so cannot do much really now.0
