Threading and Waxing

Options
I'm not after any medical advice just some experience shared.

I have had waxing and threading on facial hair in the past, waxing I find regrows much quicker and has a prickly effect, I this also causes irritation. Threading I like (even though I have found it painful - but I suspect my pain threshold low) but I find I get spots after. Does anybody suffer like me and use a cream or anything that prevents such a reaction?

I would love IPL but it's so expensive :o(
Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY

The spots are likely to be ingrown hairs, which is unfortunately more likely to happen depending on your hair type. Do you exfoliate? This will help, as it will remove all the dead skin / oils on your face and allow the hair to come through naturally. Also using a wash with salicylic acid / glycolic acid will help as these exfoliate too. Make sure you get your hair removed whilst you've got a clean face, and try to not apply anything for 12 hours after as it gives time for the pores to close.

I use ingrow go (bought from Boots) when I get my bikini area waxed, which is basically just alcohol and salicylic acid, although I feel this would be far too harsh on your face.
