Your buying tactics

Options
Hello, I'm new here and looking for advice on buying products.

A new computer desk and chair would really help me to do my work comfortably, but the ones I've researched that would suit me and I want have increased in price.

Desk up by £5 and Chair up by £10. I could wait and see if they are reduced but they are already at a discount. The £15 saving if they get reduced again would enable me to buy a budget beard trimmer as my old one died and I'm sharing my Dad's one at the moment. I got a free Gillette Fusion Razor from hotukdeals but I can't clean shave unfortunately!

Am I being too fussy about the £15 or would you just go ahead and buy them?

The trimmer I would buy would be under £15 in and around January if camelcamelcamel is anything to go by.

I always look to by something that would be useful but then decide against it because I think it would end up being cheaper at a later date. It's something that really bugs me as I've been trying to save every pound possible since being laid off.

Thanks in advance for any feedback, not the most interesting of questions so sorry about that.

Ignore the "discount". Just judge for yourself whether the current price is worth it for you. It's worth spending a bit more to get a good chair that's right for your posture (a seat you can tilt is an option you don't get on the cheapest chairs). Desks and tables can be more flexible though. I used to use a "banqueting table" that folds flat when not in use - see whether there is a picnic table or folding table that's cheaper than a computer desk, but that is the right height and surface area.

Hi Hedgehog99, thanks for your feedback, it's really useful as I had not considered folding / picnic tables. I'll look into those.
You're right about posture as that is the main reason I'm looking to buy new desk and chair.
After a month of research I found a decent desk for £45.95 and chair for £69.90. The desk is now £49.95 and chair £79.90.
I think I have a psychological problem where even if a product might be value for money for me, I won't see it and still only buy it when it's been reduced to it's lowest ever price.
    Anyway, thanks again.
