  • I've had the privilege and pleasure to work for a development food safety technology spin out company through to commercialisation. It has been funded by wealthy angel investors, I.e. Ex city bankers, successful business people etc. they invested because it was worth their while for tax purposes in the economic environment over the past few years.

These mainly British investors are investing into the UK company I work for, the largest share holder is american btw.

The next step after 5 yrs of developing, improving and selling the product is acquisition.... By whom ever will pay!

This probably means a large foreign company such as Thermo Fisher, Agilent, Vicam etc

So UK companies developing new technology does not mean long term benefit, I will likely be out of a job when the acquisition event occurs as the business moves out of the UK.
    Peace.
  • I've recent come back from China where Google doesn't work, facebook doesn't work, or Twitter.

Facebook have yet again paid no corporation tax and suspiciously when you post anti facebook posts they can be censored in the UK. Google has been allowed to get too big and we are all blind to it. Can you live now without google?... no gmail, no youtube, no google maps, no android...

I am sick of these huge companies making massive profits from all of us and not giving anything back to the countries, that they are, in my opinion, robbing.

We need a political party to pledge to stand up to this, China have managed it.... we need to say no to these companies and say it NOw, before they get too big for us to be completely dependent on them.
    Peace.

Japan has a much larger time bomb from aging population they sell more old peoples nappies than babies nappies.

Yet they have a bullet in their gun that they have not yet fired that the UK has fired and wishes it could take back. Namely Opening its boarders to foriegners.

Most Japanese companies employ large factories overseas well they could allow or make it easier for these workers to get visa's into Japan. Bring the factories into their country.

Get lots of young working people moving in and paying tax.

If Nigel Farage has his way the UK will be doing this the other way around.
