Default notices now mean very very little, so don't worry about them. :)

Later on (once you are discharged) you will need to check on your 'Credit Reference Files' to check that all defaults were dated no later than your BR date, but that is something to sort out a long way down the line.

Most OR's send out an information pack detailing what they want in the way of statements, cut-up cards etc; plus lots of info on BR and your rights and responsibilities and forms to sign. Sometimes this comes before interview, but for others the OR takes longer to sort it out. If it hasn't come by your interview then simply ask, but it's nothing to worry about.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Lisa

As far as I understand it, default notices are merely part of the process of going bankrupt, so do not worry about receiving them. By going bankrupt you have in effect defaulted on the original credit agreement - your creditors are just telling you so. Send them on to the official receiver, but make sure you keep a copy for your own records.

Bear in mind that the OR works to his own timescale - they will request any thing from you when they need it - in the meantime its best to try and relax. As long as you respond to any correspondence you receive in a prompt timely manner, you are doing all that is expected of you.

Your telephone chat with the OR will go through you I&E and they'll raise any questions they have at that point. It will also be an opportunity for you to do the same so think about any issues you might want to raise. Good luck! :)

The OR will allow you a reasonable amount of time to send it all back, so don't panic. My OR didn't have any of it by the time I had my interview (mainly due to me being disorganised :o:o), and it wasn't even mentioned. :D

If you are at all concerned next week then phone up the OR's office (they are normally friendly, honest) and ask.

    Thanks neko & fermi,
I am mainly worried as we have been offered a few days away with children next week for a break from a friend and would really like to take them just for a few days,we won't spend hardly anything just like being at home really and am concerned if they send there info why i am away and want it back before i get back,it is only for 3-4 days,do you think i am worrying too much,i am trying to keep normal for everyone as no one knows about my BR at the moment apart from partner, the OR does have my mobile number.
How long does it take for my name to be on the insolvency website.
    thank again
