    How? On what grounds?
I have no idea about this situation, but this doesn't seem possible.
and report me for benefit fraud as I'd be deliberately depriving myself of capital.
I would have thought that selling for £14k less than an offer you've had would be seen as depriving yourself of capital. Doing what you can to get the place sold for the maximum price possible sounds exactly like the opposite of depriving yourself of capital.

I think you need proper advice on this one, OP.
Are you using a solicitor, or just an online conveyencer?
Does your solicitor know all the ins and outs of all this?

Removed as administrator on the grounds of taking too long to wind up the estate and favouring myself over my sister.

DOC because I'd be turning down a reasonable offer - especially if it took a long time to sell or went for a much lower price.

The solicitor dealing with probate said sister was right on both counts and could take me to court and report me for benefit fraud as she was saying she'd do if I didn't agree by 5pm that day.

I had a thread on the probate board about it but I'm on my tablet and can't do links.

I cannot belive that this mess is STILL going on (comment on your father and sister not you)!

Here is the other thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5034319

I think that the other stuff is so complex, we need to concentrate on the property stuff on this thread?

    Thanks RAS.

I've heard from the conveyancers and we're now back to where we were yesterday with the original figures, exchange and completion set for Friday.

I haven't a clue what game of silly beggers dad and sister are playing. I think the had this idea that even though the purchase price is 98k they could take a mortgage out for 100k and pocket the extra because one of the emails referred to them not being able to afford the work needed to let the house. But with them it could be anything.
