best way to post a parcel to usa?

I wasn't sure where to post this, what's the best company and options for posting a parcel to usa? It's prob about half a kilo. I've not posted anything to usa before and I looked up parcelforce and it was upwards of 35 quid. any cheaper but safe options?

Hi, you can try transglobalexpress.co.uk I use them and usually choose their UPS option but you'll have to take out additional insurance if it valuable and you want it covered, but the good thing is it'll get their within a few days and they usually collect it from you.0

I recently sent a small parcel to Australia which was under 1kg and found the PO the cheapest option (recommendation here on MSE).0
