I think it's simultaneous. We had our valuation done on a Thursday afternoon and recieved our offer Friday morning. It took 5 working days from full application to offer. We completed Friday!0

hi that's great I am very happy for you. I have received a call from my MB and estate agent today stating that valuation has been instructed and will be done in a couple of days and congratulations, but I don't want to get to happy yet if the underwriting process has not been completed.0

Underwriting generally is at the same time as the valuation, with a view to producing the offer when the valuation has been assessed.
