has anyone had any dealing with Fredrickson International and found them to be totally unprofessional, patronising and unhelpful?
About 3 months ago I received a letter from Fredrickson informing me that my Capital One account had been passed to them with a balance of £1030.00. I called them and informed them that I was prepared to pay the balance but I could only afford £25 a month and that I could send them a financial statement to substansiate the claim. They told me that £25 was too low and that the balance needed to be clear in 10 months therefore I should pay £130 a month and if I failed to do so the debt would be passed for court action and they would be applying for an attachement of earnings order. Slightly hacked off I decided to write and offer the same proposal. This time I had a letter back accepting my offer and enclosing a payment card so that I could pay at the Post Office. This was fine until last month when i paid £27. They phoned me up some days later and wanted to increase the amount back to £130 when I asked why they stated that as I had paid more than my agreed amount BY £2 only the account needed a review. I stated that the only reason I had paid a bit extra was that I had some loose change and that I thought it would be better so pay it off a debt. I asked if I could stay on the £25 a month but I was hung up on.
I have now received a letter last week regarding another debt of £500 and am reluctant to contact them after the fiasco of last time. To keep them sweet I have sent a postal order for £10 and a letter.
These people seem to thrive on patronising, bullying and intimidating customers into making agreements that they simply have no means of keeping so that when they break them they can take people to court and claim hundreds of pounds in additional costs.
I should be grateful to hear if anybody else has had experiences with this company and what we can do to put a stop to this companies reckless and unproffesional behaviour.
Regards
Simon

Just yesterday I started the above topic with different problems from yours though.
Are you doing this yourself all the contact? I think maybe if you contacted the national debt helpline they could help you with them. If you dont fancy talking to them take a look on there website they have letter templates and payment calculators maybe looking more professional and showing you won't be messed around would work.
My honest opinion of Fredrickson seems to be the mickey mouse of the DCA world - even there site fredpay sounds cartoony0
