Hi Lincroft1710 I have 20 family orientated establishments already signed up so I am working on the website now, doing final bits to it. Also cards have been designed as well.0

Obviously it will only work for the business if they balance or exceed lost profit with more sales.localsavermama wrote: »so if a business decide to go outside our agreed boundaries and decide to offer EXCLUSIVE discounts outside our members then they are not worth working with really.
I don't really agree with this and if I were a business owner I would not want to have a non regulatory outsider dictating my prices. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

If I'm one of these businesses I can still put my prices at whatever I choose. It's only dictating that if someone turns up with one of these cards in their wallets, I'll have to give them the agreed percentage off.0 -

This is the key point IMO. People will only pay for the cards if they're providing them with discounts that they can't obtain by other means for free0 -
Many organisations and groups, locally and nationally, have tried similar things over the years and found it wasn't worth it. Nobody wanted to pay for a card, shops didn't give anything away that couldn't be obtained by some other card, or a voucher in the paper that week, or some other way.
You have to try and see if it works for you, in your area, but don't expect a mad rush of people praising it up and chomping at the bit for it.0 -

Exactly... that's the whole point.0
