Has anybody here used chloropyll tablets / capsules

My wife has been told chlorophyll tablets can be good for you, especially if you don't eat too may green vegetables.

It seems this is true, but trying to find pure chlorophyll tablets / capsules isn't easy.

She called in to out local 'food supplement' shop (H&B) but they just sell a product which contains chlorophyll, rather than the pure form of the product.

Has anybody here used the product and if so, can you please provide a link to a good supplier, one here in the UK

thank you

I used to take spirulina, which is an algae high in chlorophyll and other good things such as B12, iron and other amino acids. I bought specifically this one, off of Amazon and mixed it in with my green smoothie every morning. I think spirulina has all the benefits of chlorophyll as it's so high in it, plus others so you'll be well off using this.

I found that spirulina gave me bounds of energy - so much so that I had to stop taking it, as I was finding it hard to stay asleep at night. My diet is extremely good though already, so I probably didn't need all the extra things. It also literally tastes like pond. ((TMI DONT READ IF YOU DON'T LIKE TOILET HABITS - it also made my poops very regular and bright green:eek:))

If your wife doesn't eat too many green vegetables, can she start eating more instead? I think real food is best rather than supplements - I love snacking on raw sugar snap peas and green beans, a small handful of each in a little tupperware box is easy to carry around on the go.

Most/all greens contain some chlorophyll and Barley grass and Wheat grass is very high in it. That can be purchased in powder form and Barley grass also contains beta glucan which is beneficial to the immune system.

Barley and Wheat grasses are much cheaper than Spirulina.
Activated Barley £15/1Kg compared with Spirulina £25/500g. Activated I don't think means anything and is purely a marketing term. You have to be careful with the linked company because they have a habit of sending short dated products with 4 month use by dates. They do have a discount code FINAL50 which might work for 50% discount.

However it is like anything, a little is great but overdoing it is not beneficial.

Chlorophyll can also be purchased in liquid form, I noticed it in that form earlier on the vitapure website.
