Wonga default removed

Hi all, just wanted to share some brilliant news with you all- in September I was checking my credit file and realised that I had a default from wonga despite constantly being in contact with them re my situation- I wrote a letter of complaint and they have today come back and said after investigating my complaint- they are removing the default fully fom my credit file! Result :-)

  • How come they are wiping your debt too? Is this a trick I am missing? I mean I took out the loan in good faith to pay back but then due to my ill mum who sad,y passed away was not able to work for a few months and therefore ennded up on a dmp so can't really expect my whole loan to be wiped- just pleased that I have managed to get the default off my account

A lot of people recently got their loans wiped as they would've failed the affordability criteria as it is now. I'm unfortunately not one of them but I'm hoping to appeal that.
