Hi,
My engagement ring has become very loose and I'm afraid of losing it!
I do not want to have it altered (I was duped once) at a jewellers, is there something on the market that maybe fits on to the ring to give it a snug fit?
Thanks for any advice.

You could get a ring size reducer, something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Set-Sizing-Ring-Guards-Silver/dp/B00KVJ4NL2/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1414357651&sr=8-12&keywords=ring+size+reducers
I'm sure a jeweller would sell them.0 -
A lot of people are probably scared to come into this thread because of the title. You might get more advice if you rename it "Loose Engagement Ring" (for example).Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
Hi
Have a look on eBay for something called Spiral Ring Snuggies kit - it is only a few pounds and works well.:j0 -

I must admit, I had my hands in front of my face and was peering through fingers until I was sure there were no pictures.
Being in the "I wanna buy-it or do-it" section made it rather... ambiguous. :eek:Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?

Being duped once doesn't mean you'll have the same problem with another jeweller. Perhaps try to get some personal recommendations? If the ring means a lot to you, as it does, the DIY 'solutions' aren't very good and you risk losing the ring.0
