Hi guys,
Am going travelling in about ten days and am only taking hand luggage.
As a result I am looking for some advice. Does anyone have any advice on the type of back pack to buy and take? I am looking for something that is between 30-40L I guess?
Any thoughts, advice and suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

Are you flying - if so, which airline? A couple of them (at least) are stingy on hand luggage - Thomas Cook and Monarch Charter are 5kg max, and TC max dimensions are smaller than most.0

I'd advise make a note of the measurements your particular airline requires and take a ruler with you when you go shopping! When rucksacks or cases have labels saying they're suitable for hand luggage that may still depend on the airline and also may not maximise your potential dimensions. The one I ended up buying was just a cheap rucksack from Aldi which just happened to turn out better than anything else I'd seen for the size I was looking for. I spent ages looking and measuring! Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!
