Me and my husband took an unregulated loan in 2005, we have now been told that this was an unregulated loan sold to us by Portfield Finance who told us they were part of the Paragon group, Portfield are no longer trading and we need to put a mis-selling complaint in, we have tried Paragon and they cannot help, has anyone got any ideas on who we can complain to.
thanks

Why do you think it was missold? At that time, iirc, loans over £25,000 were not regulated; how much was it for? You can complain to the financial ombudsman, but you do need sound grounds for a complaint to be successful.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

You can complain on here if you just want to get it off your chest.
If you were going to go on and try to request compensation, then that's not going to happen, as the company from whom you'd have tried to claim seems to have died.0 -
On what basis do you think it was mis-sold?Thinking critically since 1996....0
