... think "Nope, not gonna buy that, I'll just win it"
Of course it's a risk depending on the thing but so far this month I've not bothered to buy Maleficent DVD and Spirit of Christmas tickets coz I thought that and lo and behold
Also literally got told off by my family for winning too much as it apparently makes it impossible for them to buy me birthday presents as "I may well have won them by then!"
Rather a first wold problem methinks :rotfl:

I absolutely refuse to buy an iPad because they are so expensive and there are so many comps to win one. I have to win one someday surely?!

I'm also hoping to win some of the new release DVD's in time for Christmas.I just enter and forget...hoping to win something!

Yes, one of those toys (can't remember what it's called) that you run the cars down & them come out at one of three exits - I want it for my nearly 2 year old grandson. If I haven't won it by the beginning of December (or any other present for him) I'll buy itproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Back Comping in 2024!0 -
I've been holding out for a satnav for a few years now. They'll be obsolete by the time I get one. Maybe I should be aiming for a smartphone instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Of course.
Why spend good money if you can win it.

I wanted a Wii Fit and a Kindle for myself, but was determined to win and not buy them.
Took 6 months to win the Kindle and a year for the Wii but I did it

I was going to buy a new TV as ours was a big-back one, we won £100 worth of Tesco clubcard points which we decided would be used towards the TV. PR messed up & it took us 6 months to get the points and the day before we were going to buy the TV we won one from the Doritos / Pepsi comp

Also, last year we were going to buy a new fridge freezer after Christmas as ours was dying a slow death but we won £1000 of Tesco vouchers a few weeks before so that saved us cash again! Thanks to all posters :A0
