Hands up who has the balls to do the advents thread

It does need to be just one person, it wont work logistically in any other way.

I've done it before and as board tradition dictates a new person does it each year as basically that person will have a hectic 1st,2nd,3rd and 12th Dec.

A thread is needed as the board will be chaos without it.

People have to help the thread person by making sure any advents are linked to back of thread so the thread person can spot it to add to first page.

So if an advent is posted to main people who post or spot it need to add to post added to advents otherwise it goes nuts.

All answers to comps that need them go on the main board thread as the advent thread is just an index.

Thread here isn't for debates as time is off the essence some companies will start a weekly countdown so this needs to get moving.

If no one comes forward I will do it but would rather it stuck with the board tradition.

I will help someone if they need help organising it and are a bit wary of that bit.

Sorry Toniq - I'm simply not capable! I have to take some rather strong painkillers on a daily basis which sometimes leave me in a bit of a fug. That wouldn't do at all if it was on one of those days that you mention. I hope someone comes forward for you!

Sorry I just don't have the right qualifications for this job! I don't do well under pressure! Plus I'm working and also waiting on a date for op which might be before Xmas so ruling myself out I'm afraid!

I was one of those 221. I didn't bother commenting, because I didn't think it was worth having loads of comments from people saying "I cannot do it because...." but since you have mentioned the number of people viewing the thread and not offering, I will comment - I am not going to offer. I work full time and will not even find time to do the advents myself this year, never mind collating the thread. So if nobody offers, I won't mind in the least if there is no thread.

Sorry, but like the previous poster, I just have too many commitments.

From October to December it's my busiest times- I'm already behind on stuff with deadlines because I've been out of action this week and am still not recovered.

I just couldn't put in the time needed to keep it running...
