New Bed - Awkward Size?

Hi All, looking for some advice.
Looking to buy a new divan bed, preferably with storage and a pocket sprung mattress.
So, do my homework (or so I thought) and had almost decided on one from John Lewis only to discover the bed I'm replacing isn't a small double but one which measures W135cm x L 178cm
I feel like a right numpty
My question is - are there any companies out there that do this size/spec of bed that won't cost an arm/ leg/ kidney? (And I do appreciate Lewis's wasn't the cheapest to begin with).
Thanks in advance

That is not standard double length.
Could your room take standard size?0 -
5ft10?
Somethings not right there.
A small double will be 120cm x 190cm, 4ft by 6ft3
Double is 135cm by 190cm, 4ft6 by 6ft3.
Hate to ask this question, but are you sure you measured correctly?
Where did the bed come from? As the above sizes have been standard for donkeys years.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Not a standard length - room too narrow to accommodate standard 190cm, due to other furniture won't be able to turn it round either.
This bed was originally made to order through The Bed Shed - was referred to as a "small double" but only realise now the guy meant a short double.0 -
You'll be able to get a 5ft9 in length made, it'll cost around 15-25% more then the standard size. Width either 4ft or 4ft6 should be same price.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

Many companies will make a non standard size, either hunt on the web or support your local independent bed store.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0
