Sold secured loan gone missing Black horse

I was contacted in july 2013 by marlin europe 11 to say they had bought my secured loan and i should contact them I did so but they told me a member of staff would call me back This call back never happened
Im now in the position to settle this debt
Ive called marlin to be told the loan has gone back to black horse and was given their number to contact them
Black horse have told me it is sold and ive to ring marlin back
Neither of them can give me information on the secured loan referring me to the other
This is ridiculous Marlin should know if the bought the loan Black horse should know if they was paid surely
How do i find out who owns it
