    Then it is up to you to check the situation if you aren't sure?

    It would seem to be the case that if you are over 60 and your PP is not tied to repayment or only available without restriction at a certain age, it should be declared for the PC claim?

    However, I am no expert - you might try asking on the Benefits Board.

    Due to the rules change in April, I would suffer a financial 'penalty' of £26k if forced to cash PP right now :eek:
    Even after then, the fund will still be £14k short of the mortgage debt...
    (which is what the PP is primarily meant to pay for)
    It may be from April onwards that the 'savings' issue might arise - we shall see.
    The total pot will be withdrawn then anyway to service the debt and reduce my interest payments...
