Hi can anyone help I would like to know where I can buy bed linen like you get in top hotels ,I understand the higher the thread count the better, but John Lewis etc only go up to 400 count and if spending alot of money would like to feel the quality first! Any ideas please?

if you're a member, costco, very happy with their 600TC sheets & they have some lovely styles/quality in other bedding. if you're not a member i think you can still order online but you pay 5% more.0

I just had a quick Google and this is interesting: http://www.thewhitecompany.com/help/buying-guides/bed-linen/
Looks like a higher thread count isn't de facto better?0 -

Bought some very high thread count pillowcases from TKMax recently. Only paid £7.99 for two, I think.
Also try the shopping channel QVC, their bedding can be high thread count.0 -

I've had some Northern Nights bedding from QVC. I'm sure the more it's washed, the lovelier it feels.0 -
John Lewis have their bedding on open display, so that you can feel it, at their shops.0

I, too, would recommend the Costco bed linen. I've had a duvet cover and pillow cases for a while now and it still feels so nice and crisp. When I get around to it, I'm going to get another set from there.0

Try https://www.kingofcotton.co.uk/
We are very close to one of their stores and so can go in and feel the quality.0 -
Thanks to all ,interesting reading that it's not just thread count that counts (pardon the pun!),went to House of Frazer and felt their sheets and was impressed, then today when food shopping in of all places Sainsburys! They had 400 count Egyptian cotton in their connoisseur collection in half price sale ! Opened them up and couldn't feel any difference between theirs and H of F ! So I bought them and saved about £150 very happy bunny!0
