JSA not received due to B of E crash?

Hi all,

Two days ago (Tuesday) I was due to be paid £144 JSA but it still hasn't gone in today. I was told that the Bank of England crashed on Monday and a bunch of other people were affected by it so I'm posted here to ask if anybody else was due to receive JSA this week but still hasn't, or is it just me?

Really not true. The Real Time Gross Settlement system had to be stopped, which caused the CHAPS system to be suspended. While the value of transactions affected would be high the actual number compared to those processed by the systems that continued to work all day (FPS and BACS DC) will have been relatively small.

I think it is highly unlikely that the OP's JSA payment would have been sent by any affected system, so I would suggest getting on to the Jobcentre to find out what's happened.

I had my ESA paid this week no problem...

Thanks for your replies. The problem's now been amended, it was a fault on behalf of the advisor.
