my partner has recently returned to work will she be due a tax back ?

    That depends entirely on her circumstances.

    What year is she looking to claim tax back? This year or last?
    What was her income for that year and what tax did she pay?

    so basically I need her p60 ?

    If she's returned to work at the same employer, then any tax due back will be automatically calculated.

    However, from what I've seen from our payroll, there's usually a tax rebate early in the maternity leave rather than at the end.
