J P MORGAN HAS BOUGHT OUT 2.7 BILLION OF NRAM AND BINGLEY MORTGAGES. intention to bundle them up and open to investors in the way of mortgage backed securities,
does anyone no how the interest rates are set?
how safe are these? will the consumer still be protected?
what will this mean to the mortgagee there is very little information on web.
1 have 125000 mortgage 200000 house but finding it hard to simply switch mortgage because of lending criteria with financial committments. Dont have ccj mortgage always paid on time good credit history. Any advice would be nice

Appears that 27,000 mortgages have been sold on. The entire process is going to take 12 months. No clear details as to what they've bought. Though given that they are intending to sell bonds to investors. The debt will be of higher grade quality i.e. low risk. With over 500,000 mortgages on it's books NRAM still has a long way to go.
As for interest rates etc. Have to wait and see. As these can be varied. though unlikely to be any announcement for some months. As unlikely that the infrastructure is yet in place to manage the portfolio.
As for your own situation post up some details.0
