Affordable Foundation for Dry Skin

I am looking for some information on some foundation products, I have very very dry skin and it has taken me a while to find a suitable product but a while ago I tried the bare minerals products and I was very surprised but pleased with the results that the "powder foundation" gave.
There was no cracking or flaking of the skin, but I find that it doesnt last me too long and I paid £50 for the starter kit and Ive now needed 2x new foundation tubs at £25 each and I do grudge it TBH. Does anyone else have any recommendations on a more affordable scale?

I also have dry skin and have recently bought Rimmel Match Perfection, I find it very good - might be worth a try0 -

I've got dry skin, possibky not as bad as yours is OP but dry enough that if I don't moisturise twice or at times three times a day I get dry skin patches in days and if I don't exfoliate at least every week (I opt for 2-3 times a week) I also end up with dry flakey skin and mainly on my t-zone.
I have found a foundation which works for me but am wary of suggesting it as last time I suggested it to someone on here, someone else quoted me and said that it was a terrible foundation as it dried out their skin. To me it is one of the few that works for me and my dry skin.
I do moisturise before applying any foundation, serum before moisturising also does make a difference (smoother overall effect) and I don't really find I have a problem with the product I use.
What I will say is that all of the dense creams, foundation sticks or mousses don't work for me- they don't even dry out my skin over time they just apply and dry up my skin instantly! As if they have straight away become a sponge for any moisture in my skin so I stay clear of these. Liquid foundations are the only types I've gotten on with and concealers which are also liquid based or on the sponge-applicator tube things.
So as far as suggestions go, opt for a liquid based foundation but also make sure to apply at least a moisturiser and if possible a serum beforehand. I've not used a primer in a while as these dry out my skin also but find what I need with a serum/moisturiser and making sure I use an exfoliator during the week to prevent drier flakes which don't always appear obvious until I apply foundation.0
