I'm trying to ascertain what NI contributions my 21 year old daughter will pay when she starts work shortly (salary £19K) - I've visited the Inland Revenue website but I can't make head or tail of the various tables etc. Please could anyone come up with a figure for me - confused not just lazy!!

I'm by no means an expert, but;
She will be able to earn £5225 per year without paying anything. Above this, it is 11%. Assuming that she is single female paying standard rates. If she is in a pension scheme, I'd suggest to give HMRC a call as being in a company used to mean you paid differently, although I'm not sure if this is still the case.
Hope it helps.Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

You seem to have got your tax codes and NI mixed up
NI is 11% on anything over £100 per week / £435.00 per month - there is also a higher bracket but an annual salary of £19k will not meet this.
