Salt Pipes

I am thinking of buying a salt pipe to help with mucous build-up, asthma & persistant cough.
Has anyone on here got one and how effective do you find it? Which one do you have (Saltair, Sims, etc)?
I am not asking for medical advice as I already use inhalers, etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi
No experience of using these I'm afraid but my neighbour swears by hers. Both my son & I have asthma and I am interested in them but am also looking for more recommendations

Well, I have bitten the bullet and ordered a Cisco saltpipe. It should be here in the next day or so.
ATM I am full up with cold but I intend to start using it straight away to see if it helps with the usual "post cold" chesty cough.
Will report back later ."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

Most reviews seem to suggest only very minor benefits and below those achieved using a nebulizer with saline solution0

May I ask how/why not?
