Teenage Calander Girls - ideas please

Hello, don't know if this is in the right place, mainly because I don't really know what I am asking!!
We have just set up a new under 12's football team :footie: and as a fund-raiser want to have calendars made ("Footballers Sisters" - we have quite a few stunners!!).
Obviously, we want to sell the calendars at a profit but I am wondering if any of you brainboxes have ideas of how to go about having them made on the cheap.
My thoughts so far:
1. Ask at the local University if any of the students on a photography course (do they do this at University??), would like to take the photos for free (for the experience and to be able to look at a bevvy of beautiful 17/18 year olds!! - maybe I should ask them to pay??)
2. Look into buying a binder and binding them ourselves, but maybe the cost of a binder and binders will outweight this??
3. No i!dea
4. Same as 3
5. Nothing else!!
*Should mention, in case anyone thinks it is a nude calander, the girls will be wearing a VERY small football kit!!!
Help me please!!
Thanks, Carol.

17 year old calender girls? serious? isnt that a bit disturbing at that age?
and yes i think they do photography in some uni's, if not the graphic design courses may be able to help.
no you should not ask them to pay for the privilege, they are doing you a favour.
most unis will have a reprographics unit which you may be able to use and get a discounted rate!Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -

Are you serious with regard to the "17 year old being a bit disturbing at that age ?? I said SEVENTEEN not SEVEN!! Have you spoken to any 17 year old girls recently?? No well I have, to each and every one of them planning on doing the calendar, and they are all happy and keen to do it. I didn't for one minute think of forcing them into it against their will for gods sake - one of them is my daughter!!! It just so happens that at the age the lads of the football team are (11), most of their sisters are teenagers (over 16).
And with regard to asking the photographer to pay - lighten up, it was a joke, sorry if you don't have a sense of humour!!;)
Apart from that, thanks for the useful information regarding the reprogaphics unit.
Best wishes
Carol

Looking at a bevvy of stunning 17yr olds whilst its might be a good idea to some it sounds a little creepy to me.... I'm a hot blooded male but i think it just sounds WRONG written in that context....
Carol - we did a fashion show ages ago at College and managed to..
1/ Get a discount at the printers for the agenda and flyers by asking the printers to sponser it by having thier logos on it, they gave us a discount... you could get the logos on each page in one of the corners and their details on the back cover maybe for a discount?
2/ The show was for charity and many local buisnesses were up for lending us clothes in return for a mention... perhaps get some local fashion shops (independent) in on the act to lend you clothes for the shot and in return of advertising maybe a little subsidy?
Presumably you'll be selling the calanders - work out how many you'll need to sell to cover the costs, and dont go and press up a load of calanders if you might not flog them all to keep the cost down.
A local uni would be a good place to start for finding a photographer, my best mate is one and if you are in the Surrey area he'd gladly do it free... perovided that the 17yr olds are not to scantily clad or it will be a bit of a weird one  . 18 is ok though
. I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

Hi Alan, replied once, but it disappeared!!
I must say I am really surprised at the response of the men!! The girls in question are all intelligent and self-willed and would never do anything they didn't want to. All of them, without exception, think this is a fun thing to do and can't wait.
And can I just ask - if you spotted a page 3 girl in the newspaper, over somebody elses shoulder
, and then you noticed she was only 17, would you gouge your eyes out?????
My husband is very protective of his precious "baby girl" (she will be his baby girl even when she 50!) and even he can see no wrong in this, neither can any of the other parents.
Would 17 years, 11 months, 3 weeks and 6 days be okay???? Tell your mate sorry, but the girls will be in mini football kits, and we are in Manchester, but if he really wants to..............
Thank you for the useful tips about printers.
Thanks, Carol.0 -

I absolutely agree with this.
It doesn't matter what the girls think, many seventeen year old girls would do !!!!!! (believe me, I know people in the industry, and they have many applicants of this age - all of whom are declined), but does this make it right?
Put another way, what kind of people do you think will buy a calendar full of seventeen year old girls in skimpy clothing?Gone ... or have I?0 -
I dont see anything wrong with the 17/18 year olds. As long as it is done nicely. But also if you are going to be getting a uni student to do it then they are not going to be a lot older than that.
Anyone that is being "shocked" by the "bevvy of 17/18 year olds" should take a little walk round any city on a friday or sat night and see girls dressed up probably wearing less that these girls would be wearing and being a lot younger to boot.
I did use an online service to do a calander for my gf, but there is no way you could do it and make money from it. But you might be able to find sometime more sutiable.
Good luck with it.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -

So he doesn't mind the idea of some man pleasuring himself with a picture of his daughter?Gone ... or have I?0 -

Sorry, but I must disagree, it DOES matter what the girls think, they are adults and I think it is very patronising of you to say otherwise. And how did we get from doing a fun calendar, clothed, to doing !!!!!!!!???
The kind of people that I think will buy a calendar full of seventeen year old girls in skimpy clothing is 17 year old boys!!! I have seen girls dressed in skimpier clothing than ours are planning to wear, splashed across the internet on nights out, in "Faces in Places"!!
Aside from this, I was asking for ideas, not questions about the morality of doing this. They WILL do it, and all I wanted was ideas!!!
Thank you!!

Finally, the voice of reason - thank you,:T for a minute I thought I was going insane!!
