I received a similar letter about a year or so ago that i didn't respond to (may have been a different company, may have been the same).

I assume they are contacting me about a specific debt from many years ago, as this is the only debt i am aware of that i have not dealt with. The last time i talked to any company about this debt would have been in 2008 or before. But definitely not after October 2008. This i know for fact. I believe i made a payment or two in 2008 (again nothign after October 2008), but haven't paid anything since. I can't remember if there was a CCJ made in regards to this debt, but that would have been over 10 years ago if there was one.

Can any of you fine folks tell me where i stand with this and what course of action, if any, i should take in regards to it?
