Hoping someone can help, Currently have an agreement in principle which the in-house mortgage advisor in the estate agents got through the Halifax for us - question I have is do we have to go though the full application using the same advisor or could we for example use a different broker?
We kind of don't want to put our all our eggs in one basket as the in-house advisor may be tied to Halifax

I don't know any EA tied to Halifax, but many of the large EA chains do have a limited panel as they get higher fees from these fewer lenders and the lenders panel valuation/survey work their way.
You can use who you want. Try to find someone offering products from the whole market for commission paying products. Don't forget to research "direct only" deals yourself, to ensure you get a full market view.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks - Basically we've booked a site on a new development and at the time we booked they said they could do the AIP so we could book the site basically. Since then we've found a good whole market broker we'd be keen to use - didn't want to p*** off the estate agent though0

Why not? Most EA deserve a good ****ing offChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

Since your previous thread referred to which lenders use which credit agencies Lee, I suspect you are an 'iceberg' borrower with 2/3 rds under the surface.
