Norwich Traffic Control. Confirmation please

Options
Hello, My story is the same as "Bigilote" who posted on 06-08-14.
Parked in the evening on the road, (no yellow lines), at the East Anglian Motor Auction, Wymondham NR18 0WY, as the car park was full and got a PCN from Norwich Traffic Control. In his post he was advised to wait for the notice to keeper, but on the the flow chart it states that if you receive a PCN from a small company, which I assume NTC are, then you should appeal straightaway. Is someone able to confirm which piece of advice is correct?

  • I'd say wait for the NtK on this one. They are in the IPC club (from 24th Sept) so you'll need to do a bit more work to get rid of this one.

Upload photos of the signs (photobucket etc.) - wording on the signs is important. Also the details on the NtK is important, so upload these as well when it arrives (redacted of course).

Would depend when the parking event occurred- as this would dictate which appeals system is used. Would be interesting to see which appeals systems is stated on the parking ticket.

Alternatively the OP could appeal using a contactable service address for the driver....
  • True 4cr, I was assuming it was since 24th - but may be wrong. I seen the post drifting down the thread lists so figured my input would bump it up and get it noticed by more knowledgeable people than me - then, as if by magic, along you came..
  • Hello, Thank you for your replies. Event was 21-10-2014 @ 1900, so dark. The PCN "How to appeal" is either in writing to Norwich Traffic Control in Norwich, or email norwichtrafficcontrol.com.
  • So you'll be going along the IPC route. Wait for the NtK - it will give you more appeal points.

    Disagree

You wont have more appeal points waiting for the NTK, this is simply not the case. Waiting for the NTK for IPC tickets in most cases in a waste of time

Depending on the singage i would strongly recommend you using a service address if you wish to get rid of the ticket and not get hassled by NTC et al.

    A service address is simple

You name the driver, A service address is provided the ticket is removed from your life end of. Job Done.

Its fits in totally with POFA.
  • Many thanks, your help is much appreciated.

Not if we start telling people to include as IAS evidence, as well as both sides of the NTK, a witness statement from their husband or wife or employer or friend, confirming they were not driving as they were washing their hair or waiting for the utilities man to arrive...or any old excuse seeing as that's what the IAS does.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
